DDs- BE CONSTRUCTIVE, NOT DESTRUCTIVE

there has been so much useless unneeded dArama about DDs and what's good, what's not..i can't tell you how much of a migraine i get from looking at some of the comments circulating around from this week alone. but ultimately what's the point of being destructive?! be contructive, not destructive! Saying "This sucks" "I hate this" "You suck" "This doesn't deserve a DD" "Why did the GM pick this" are all DESTRUCTIVE comments. this is a community for improving and sharing. i'm not saying go all LOVEFEST but what's the point of being rude just because we can't see your face? Would you honestly say any of the the things said if we were face to face? Honestly...any one who's going to type in two to three words of destructive criticing is just lazy....or bored...or lonely... maybe you just need someone to talk to...might i suggest a friend who can handle your personality? why should the artist that you're looking to belittle have to ask you "why?" if you've got a problem with the piece, give them a real reason...give them a constructive critique that they can honestly use to improve the piece with. what's wrong with saying: "i don't like the piece, i have issues with........" no one's feelings are hurt...no one's brain is twitching because they can't get a fast response from you on why, or where they went wrong with the comp....we can move on calmly from that point on

If you have a problem with a GM's decision...someone's artwork message box is NOT the place to gripe. Go ask the GM, because you know they're not looking for your comment in a previous DD that they just gave. Your victim can't tell you why it was chosen as a DD, and if something just boils your blood to the point of lashing out at someone, that DD badge is going to tell you where to go! But before you start trolling for blood, remember there's no monitary award that any DD is given, no added subscription, no points, no dA dollars, no jewels, no diamonds, no llamas, no interview,...they're on the front page for 24hrs and it's not going to kill you to check your messages the next day if you feel so offended and wronged by that single solitary little featured piece.

It doesn't matter if this is the internet. Thick skin or no...there's still a need to act civil. You're not messaging your boss, your teacher, professor, client, lawyer, whatever in that manner are you? When you step out of your house, whether it's through the internet, or front door you're surrounded by other people you have to deal with on a day to day basis. I don't see what the big deal is about etiquette, it's not that hard to implicate.

Etiquette: (pronounced [,eti'ket]) is a code of behavior that delineates expectations for social behavior according to contemporary conventional norms within a society, social class, or group.  

if you're not going to help them to better themselves or their art, just move on the next piece. so simple...trash talk doesn't help. and with all the countries inter-mingling...why try and rile up a misunderstanding? i thought this was suppose to be fun, an escape for all of our weird quirks and ideals, or better yet a place that can also be used for business. not everything is my cup of tea and there's always going to be something i'll feel that way about. I'm not going to say something's bad if i don't have a definite reason to give the person, i don't believe in messing with people's heads that way. If you want to help someone, give them a critic or a comment, if you're just bored...go learn a new language or wash your hair.

and for those who say well saying "It Sucks" is the same as any other person saying "OMG Awesome" is NOT the same.
OMG Awesome: says oh okay, I guess i'm going in the right direction with my work...I'll try and improve but go along similar lines of creating.(even though it's not completely contructive, a compliment is just a compliment, they're more neutral than anything as far as bettering the artist)
IT SUCKS: says......O_O what the fudge!? what did I do wrong?!.....I don't know what's bad...I don't know what to keep...do I scrap my next project, what should I do?
