Poor Barnabas, always torn by the love he had for his ladies. I like how you've centered him between them. Angelique is all shimmery, liquid fire while Josette appears as a gossamer-gowned goddess. Barnabas is rather well adorned in his frippery. The sleepy look to his half-closed eyes with the shadows above rather than encircling, is something new. Little details, like the lace at his cuffs, and the sparkle on his ring, add so much. Nice execution of the Lava Lamp, too.
This is both sweet and funny.
I'm a a "DS" fan from 1966. I love the show in its many incarnations. The visuals in this movie are stunning.
Hmm... I guess my theory was wrong None of those really stood out to me when I was browsing, except maybe this one [link] cuz the execution's unreal. But the subject's not anything interesting. This one didn't make it either and I thought it was pretty cool.. [link]
Just looking at the entries now (for the record, I don't know the requirements). Most of them blend together.. all the straight up portraits. You really stand out for including lay-days. I'm surprised so few people used humour. I wonder if that will give one an edge, the movie being a comedy.
I hate contests though cuz it always comes down to something so subjective. (But I love hosting them XD )
I'm kinda sad about the new movie. I watched Dark Shadows with my mom growing up. They're turning into a typical Burton-esque freak show. I don't dislike everything Burton does, but I feel like his treatment doesn't really do justice to Dark Shadows. The movie industry could have farmed DS for a great, dramatic, awesome movie.. but now it's just going to be a silly joke. I am holding out hope that it will be good.. but I will probably be disappointed. :[
